Two fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship are willing to fight reigning UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion Henry “The Messenger” Cejudo, 32, of Phoenix, Arizona, United States. They are Kai “Don’t Blink” Kara-France, 26, of Auckland, New Zealand and newly crowned UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion “Magnum” Zhang Weili, 30, of Beijing, China.

Kara-France earned his third UFC victory at “UFC Fight Night 157” at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre Arena in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China on August 31, 2019. He defeated Mark “Bumblebee” De La Rosa, 24, of Fort Worth, Texas, USA via unanimous decision in the flyweight division.

“This division is my oyster and I’m coming for my coach Henry Cejudo,” Kara-France said after his unanimous decision victory. “I could be a few fights away from fighting him eventually.”

In the main event of “UFC Fight Night 157,” Zhang challenged then reigning UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade, 27, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Chinese challenger knocked out the Brazilian defending champion in the first round.

This made Zhang the first ever UFC champion of Chinese descent. She is the fifth fighter to hold the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship belt.

During the “UFC Fight Night 157″ post-fight press conference, Zhang was asked if she would be interested in fighting Cejudo. The reigning UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion recently challenged reigning UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko, 31, of Peru and Kyrgyzstan.

“Yes, he can fight with me but first, he need to go to Thailand and become… well, get a sex change,” Zhang said. “Then, I will welcome him or her to the female division.”

On September 1, 2019, Cejudo took to Twitter to respond to Zhang’s statement. Apparently, he is also interested in fighting Zhang and become what he refers to as the UFC Intergender Champion.

The last time Cejudo competed in the octagon was on June 8, 2019 in the main event of “UFC 238” took place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, USA. While reigning as the UFC Flyweight Champion, he knocked out Marlon “Magic”Moraes, 31, of Nova Fribugo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to win the then vacant UFC Bantamweight Championship belt.

Meanwhile, here is Zhang in her “UFC Fight Night 157” post-fight interview in the octagon:
