Thailand’s Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai earns 1st ONE Super Series win at ‘ONE: Immortal Triumph’ in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Kulabdam “Left Meteorite” Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai, 20, of Thailand was one of the winners at “ONE: Immortal Triumph.” It was his first victory in ONE Super Series, the striking only league of Singapore-based martial arts organization ONE Championship.

Featuring nine Muay Thai matches and three kickboxing contests, “ONE: Immortal Triumph” took place at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on September 6, 2019. In the 11th bout of the evening, Kulabdam faced Bobo “The Panther” Sacko, 31, of France in a kickboxing contest in the flyweight division.

Elias Dolaptsis served as the referee. After three three-minute rounds, he raised the hand of Kulabdam, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “ONE: Immortal Triumph” improved the professional kickboxing record of Panpayak to 61 wins, 10 losses and 5 draws. On the other hand, Sacko now has 72 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw.

Both Sacko and Kulabdam made their ONE Super Series debuts at “ONE: Immortal Triumph.” The French fighter trains out of Teambilos Muaythai Gym in Le Mée Sur Seine, France while the Thai contender represents Sor. Jok. Piek Uthai.

Including France and Thailand, 15 countries were represented at “ONE: Immortal Triumph.” The others were Algeria, Australia, Brazil, India, Italy, Japan Malaysia, Russia, Slovakia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.

Sacko solely represented France. Kulabdam was one of the five representatives of Thailand.

Born on September 24, 1998, Kulabdam is one of the top Thai Muay Thai fighters of his generation. He was named the Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year and became the Thailand 135lbs Champion in 2017.

In 2018, Kulabdam became the Lumpinee Stadium champion in the 135lbs division. In 2019, he earned the Lumpinee Stadium championship title in the 140lbs division.

“ONE: Immortal Triumph” was the first ever ONE Championship event to take place in Vietnam and it featured the organization’s first ever fight card that included striking bouts only. Here is a recap:
