ONE Championship’s second event in Japan titled “ONE: Century 世紀” will be held on October 13, 2019. The official media day for the upcoming combat sports event took place at the Park Hyatt in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan on September 17, 2019, which was attended by ONE Championship ONE Championship Japan president Andy Hata.

“The mission of ONE Championship is extremely important and it hasn’t changed since the company first started many years ago,” Hata stated. “The goal has always been to ignite the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration. Japan, of course, has played a huge role in the history and culture of martial arts.”

Also present during the media day were ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong,  ONE Esports CEO Carlos Alimurung, Pancrase CEO Masakazu Sakai and Shooto CEO Kazuhiro Sakamoto. ONE Championship recently entered into partnerships with Pancrase and Shooto.

“Now, we get the opportunity to spread positivity in everyday life through martial arts and through our ONE Championship heroes,” Hata said. “ONE Championship is here to give back to Japan, to strengthen the Japanese martial arts community, and to bring forth a new era in the industry.”

Taking place at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, “ONE: Century 世紀” is the single biggest world championship martial arts event in history with 28 World Champions featured across various martial arts. It is the single greatest martial arts event in the last 100 years.

The second part will be broadcast live from 5:00 p.m. JST across more than 140 countries worldwide and streamed to 2.6 billion potential viewers through the world’s largest television networks.
