Training out of KHK MMA in Manama, Bahrain, Abdulatip Magomedov, 27, was one of the winners at “Brave 27.” It was his first victory in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation.
Brave CF held “Brave 27” at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with 10 MMA bouts. In the fifth bout of the evening, Magomedov fought Sulaiman Al Modhyan, 32, who is training out of Fight Club Academy in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
With Tomasz Bronder as the referee, Magomedov and Al Modhyan competed in the featherweight division. Both fighters survived the first five-minute rounds.
However, Al Modhyan was not able to answer the bell to return to the second round. In the end, Bronder raised the hand of Magomedov, who was declared the winner via technical knockout due to doctor stoppage.
Winning at “Brave 27” improved the professional MMA record of Magomedov to 1 win and 0 loss. On the other hand, Al Modhyan now has 3 wins and 3 losses.
In the main event of the evening, Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Amman, Jordan regained the Brave Combat Federation Welterweight World Championship title. He dethroned Abdoul “The Conqueror” Abdouraguimov, 23, of Nantes, France.
In the co-main event, Alex Martinez, 25, of Paraguay and Canada maintained his undefeated professional MMA record. He knocked out Anas “The Moroccan Sensation” Siraj Mounir, 33, Morocco in the lightweight division.
