Team Nogueira Dubai’s Dwight Brooks earns 1st Brave CF win at ‘Brave 27’ in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Training out of Team Nogueira Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Dwight “The Black Mamba” Brooks, 42, of the United States was one of the winners at “Brave 27.” It was his first victory in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation.

Brave CF held “Brave 27” at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with 10 MMA bouts. In the third bout of the evening, Brooks fought Alex Nacfur, 43, of Brazil, who is representing Fit Republic in Dubai, UAE.

With Tomasz Bronder as the referee, Brooks and Nacfur competed in the super lightweight division. Bronder put a stop to the super lightweight bout after 21 seconds in the third round when Brooks knocked out Nacfur via strikes.

Winning at “Brave 27” improved the professional MMA record of Brooks to 2 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Nacfur now has 7 wins and 4 losses.

Including Brazil, the UAE and the U.S., 17 countries were represented at “Brave 27.” The others were Bahrain,  Canada, Egypt, France, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Pakistan, Paraguay, the Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sweden and Syria.

Brooks and Nacfur were two of the five fighters who represented the UAE. Also, the former was one of the two representatives of the U.S. while the latter was one of the three representatives of Brazil.

In the main event of the evening, Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Amman, Jordan regained the Brave Combat Federation Welterweight World Championship title. He dethroned Abdoul “The Conqueror” Abdouraguimov, 23, of Nantes, France.

In the co-main event, Alex Martinez, 25, of Paraguay and Canada maintained his undefeated professional MMA record. He knocked out Anas “The Moroccan Sensation” Siraj Mounir, 33, Morocco in the lightweight division.

Brooks made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 27.” The Team Nogueira Dubai athlete was coming out of a successful professional MMA debut at “UAE Warriors 1” on May 3, 2019 at the Mubadala Arena where he defeated Suraj Bahadur, 25, of Panjab, India via unanimous decision.
