In Saudi Arabia, BTS is the most streamed K-pop band on Spotify and currently, the group has four songs in the Top 10 K-pop in the Kingdom. On October 10, 2019, Saudi Arabia welcomed the BTS boys with purple lights from major buildings in Riyadh, according to Arab News. On October 11, 2019, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook performed at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.

BTS sang their best hits at the King Fahd International Stadium. The ecstatic crowd went wild as they sang along with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

This marked the return of the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour of BTS. The K-pop boy band visited Riyadh at the request of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, who was implicated in the murder of Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The decision of BTS to perform in a country condemned for its alleged human rights abuses expectedly became controversial. RM told the Hollywood Reporter, “I wouldn’t say it was easy but we were officially invited.”

Majority of BTS fans are female, according to a Korean study. In 2017, women were allowed into the King Fahd International Stadium for the first time.

“To put it simply, if there’s a place where people want to see us, we’ll go there,” Jimin said. “That’s really how we feel.”

On May 18, 2018, Big Hit Entertainment released BTS’s third Korean studio album titled “Love Yourself: Tear.” It contains 11 tracks including its lead single “Fake Love.”

RM co-wrote “Fake Love” with “Pdogg” Kang Hyo-won, 35, ‘Adora” Park Soo Hyun, 22, “hitman bang” Bang Si Hyuk, 46. Here is the music video:
