ONE Championship held the official “ONE: Dawn of Valor” open workout at the Syena Martial Arts Center in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 22, 2019. It was attended by eight mixed martial artists including Kaji “Alpha” Ebin, 26, of Manila, Philippines.

The “ONE: Dawn of Valor” fight night will take place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta on October 25, 2019. One of the matches on the card is a flyweight bout Ebin and Eko Roni Saputra, 27, of Indonesia.

Ebin represents UGM MMA. Saputra trains out of Evolve MMA in Singapore.

“I’m excited to be back inside the circle,” Ebin stated. “Like my opponent Eko, I am also searching for victory on the biggest global stage of competition. We are both hungry and motivated and we will be ready to give the fans a great performance and an exciting contest.”

Ebin made his professional MMA bout in 2016. An undefeated fighter with 2 wins, he joined ONE Championship in 2018.

However, Ebin was not able to secure a win in his first two bouts in ONE Championship. He lost to Akihiro “Superjap” Fujisawa, 39, of Tokyo, Japan via verbal submission due to shoulder injury at “ONE: Heroes of Honor” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 20, 2018 and to Rudy “The Golden Boy” Agustian, 34, of Indonesia via americana submission at “ONE: Pursuit of Greatness” at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on November 26, 2018.

Like Ebin, Saputra has yet to win in ONE Championship. “ONE: Dawn of Valor” marks the second bout of the Evolve MMA representative in the promotion.

On April 12, 2019, Saputra made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Roots of Honor” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. He was knocked out by Niko Soe, 26, of Singapore.

Ebin and Saputra’s countrymen Priscilla “Thathi” Hertati Lumban Gaol, 31, Stefer “The Lion” Rahardian, 32, and Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis, 26, also took part in the “ONE: Dawn of Valor” open workout. Reigning ONE Welterweight World Champion Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam, 28, of Sweden, Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov, 26, of Kyrgyzstan and Bozhena “Toto” Antoniyar, 24, of Yangon, Myanmar participated, as well.
