Felipe Silva, 34, of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil had an impressive debut for Brave Combat Federation as he was able to outstrike Dumar “Corazon de Leon” Roa, 28, of Bogota, Colombia and dominated the stand-up en route to a first-round technical knockout win at “Brave 26” in Colombia. Right after the victory, the Brazilian mixed martial artist called out newly crowned Brave CF Lightweight World Champion Cleiton “Predator” Silva, 33, of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.

Cleiton dethroned former Brave CF Lightweight World Champion Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil at “Brave 25.” The latter is Felipe’s student.

On November 14, 2019, Felipe will face Guram Kutateladze, 27, of Georgia at “Brave 29” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain as part of the Brave International Combat Week. The Brazilian contender is looking to beat his Georgian opponent in order to challenge Cleiton and avenge Santiago.

“Guram is a very tough fight and I’m not looking past him at all,” Felipe stated. “It will be a great challenge, one that should have happened already but I think I can beat him and then I want to fight for the title. This champion keeps saying my name, and I want to take it off his mouth with my fists.”

A Muay Thai teacher, Felipe is also known as the striking coach for CM System, arguably the current best MMA team in Brazil. He has developed a close bond with Santiago, who is going up to super lightweight to face Gadzhimusa “Deadshot” Gaziev, 27, of Dagestan, Russia also at “Brave 29,” which will feature 15 MMA bouts.

Lenne Hardt will join Carlos Kremer as the announcers at “Brave 29.” The event will coincide the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation World Championships, in which hundreds of athletes from more than 50 countries will gather in Bahrain for what has been dubbed as the Olympics of MMA.

Brave CF will crown its first ever champion in its flyweight division at “Brave 29.” Vying for the title are Jose “Shorty” Torres, 26, of Chicago, Illinois, United States and Marcel Adur, 27, of Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
