Corey “Overtime” Anderson, 30, of Rockton, Illinois, United States was one of the winners at “UFC 244.” It was his ninth victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Featuring 12 mixed martial arts bouts, the UFC held “UFC 244” at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on November 2, 2019. In the seventh bout of the evening, Anderson competed in the light heavyweight division against Johnny Walker, 27, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
“I didn’t just stop the hype train,” Anderson said in his post-fight interview. “That was a train wreck, Baby. I said it a million times.”
“They put too much hype on him,” Anderson said of Walker. “There’s levels to this. There’s a reason I have 14 fights. I’ve lost to the best but then I came back and beat the best.”
