Shane “Hurricane” Burgos, 28, of Monroe, New York, United States was one of the winners at “UFC 244.” It was the undefeated mixed martial artist’s third victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Featuring 12 MMA bouts, the UFC held “UFC 244” at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on November 2, 2019. In the sixth bout of the evening, Burgos competed in the featherweight division against Makwan “Mr. Finland” Amirkhani, 30, of Finland.
“My pace and my power made the difference,” Burgos said in his post-fight interview. “He felt those body shots. I expected him to stand a little longer.”
“He shot right off the bat and it caught me a little off guard,” Burgos said of Amirkhani. “But it went well. I’m happy with it.”
