Yusup “Maestro” Saadulaev, 34, of Russia was one of the winners at “ONE: Age of Dragons.” It was his seventh victory in the ONE Championship.
Featuring five MMA matches, four kickboxing contents and two Muay Thai bouts, ONE Championship held “ONE: Age of Dragons” at the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China on November 16, 2019. In the third bout of the evening, Saadulaev competed in an MMA bout in the bantamweight division against Daichi Takenaka, 29, of Japan.
Motohiro Tsuruwa served as the referee. After three five-minute rounds, the bantamweight contest was left in the hands of the judges.
In the end, Tsuruwa raised the hand of Saadulaev. The Russian MMA fighter as declared the winner via split decision.
Including Russia and Japan, 13 countries were represented at “ONE: Age of Dragons.” The others were Argentina, China, Germany, India, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Ukraine.
Saadulaev was one of the two fighters who represented Russia. He is training out of Uflacker Academy
Takenaka solely represented Japan. He is training out of Paraestra Izumi and HybridFighter.
