Tang Kai, 24, of Shaoyang, Hunan, China was one of the winners at “ONE: Age of Dragons.” It was his second victory in the ONE Championship.
Featuring five MMA matches, four kickboxing contents and two Muay Thai bouts, ONE Championship held “ONE: Age of Dragons” at the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China on November 16, 2019. In the fourth bout of the evening, Tang competed in an MMA bout in the featherweight division against Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly, 35, of Mountain Province, Philippines.
Motohiro Tsuruwa served as the referee. After three five-minute rounds, the featherweight contest was left in the hands of the judges.
In the end, Tsuruwa raised the hand of Tang. The Hunan native was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Including China and the Philippines, 13 countries were represented at “ONE: Age of Dragons.” The others were Argentina, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Morocco, the Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Thailand and Ukraine.
Tang was one of the five fighters who represented China. He is training out of Dragon Warrior Shanghai.
Kelly was one of the three representatives of the Philippines. He is representing Team Lakay.
