Representing Hungary, Fanni Mikó, 22, was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt on December 20, 2019. She bested 74 other candidates.
Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, Mikó is a model and a university student studying business and accounting. She loves playing the piano, running, horseback riding, learning about other cultures and religions and meeting people with different ideas and thoughts to hers.
Miko was crowned by Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, 27, of the Philippines at the Hotel Sunrise Montemare Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. The coronation night was hosted by Suman Chellani and Holger Salmen along with Hector Gonzales Colon as the backstage presenter.
Gallman also joined the panel of judges. Her fellow judges were Miss Intercontinental 2010 Maydelise Columna of Puerto Rico, Top Model of the World 2018 Janet Leyva of Peru, Times Models Zurich owner Christoph Locher of Switzerland, actress Cinthia Aparico of Mexico and marketing director Habiba Eishaer.
Runner-up to Miko was Mónica Aguilar, 20, of the United States. Naruemon Khampan, 21, of Thailand, Dane Venter, 23, of South Africa and Tiffany Yoko Chong Campos, 23, of Peru were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.
Moreover, Miko was crowned Miss Intercontinental Europe 2019 while Aguilar was Miss Intercontinental North America 2019. Their fellow continental queens were Venter, Khampan and Campos as Miss Intercontinental Africa 2019, Miss Intercontinental Asia and Oceania 2019 and Miss Intercontinental South America 2019.
Venter, Safina Gaibova, 19, of Tajikistan and Betania Rojas, 25, of Colombia won the sponsors’ awards. They were named Miss Direct Pass, Miss Diamond Palace and Miss Sunrise Resort, respectively.
In 2016, Miko competed in Miss World Hungary. She finished in the finals.
On August 9, 2019, Miko won 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐤 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐚́𝐠𝐬𝐳𝐞́𝐩𝐞 2019, a beauty pageant organized by Ádám Fásy, at the Pesti Magyar Színház in Budapest, making her the representative of her country to Miss Intercontinental 2019. Get to know more about the Budapest native here:
