ONE Championship Thailand’s Plai Jitinat: ‘ONE: A New Tomorrow’ promises to be something special

ONE Championship has partnered with the Sports Authority of Thailand to further develop the sport of Muay Thai on a global scale. The partnership was formally announced during the official kick-off “ONE: A New Tomorrow” press conference at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on January 6, 2020.

The event was attended by ONE Championship Thailand president “Plai” Jitinat Asdamongkol. He was with some Thai officials including Minister of Tourism and Sports secretary Khemmapol Auitayakul and Professional Sports Development and Boxing Department director Tanukiat Janchum.

“It is our absolute honor to have the Sports Authority of Thailand here in attendance today as we announce our partnership,” Jitinat said during the event. “At ONE Championship, we have a huge responsibility to guide the next generation of martial artists towards becoming honorable and respectable athletes. As the world’s largest martial arts organization, we believe developing our martial arts talent in the true Asian values is of utmost importance.”

 

“This partnership with SAT helps us provide our youth with a bright future and a viable career in Muay Thai,” Jitinat continued. “Thailand is always at the forefront of ONE Championship’s exciting events. This first event of 2020, “ONE: A New Tomorrow,” promises to be something special.”

“It’s going to be amazing to witness all the world-class martial arts talent in the country as they delight the fans with epic performances,” the ONE Championship Thailand president added. “I cannot wait for this Friday night.”

ONE Championship will hold the “ONE: A New Tomorrow” fight night at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on January 10, 2020. There are six mixed martial arts matches, five Muay Thai contests and one kickboxing bout on the fight card.

Four athletes will represent Thailand at “ONE: A New Tomorrow.” They are ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion “The Iron Man” Rodtang Jitmuangnon, ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex, Muangthai P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym and Sangmanee Sathian MuayThai Gym. They were all present during the press conference.
