Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, 33, of Parkland, Washington, United States will be the next challenger of reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes, 30, of Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil. They are expected to headline “ONE: Reign of Dynasties.”

ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” in Chongqing, China on April 11, 2020. On January 13, 2020, the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong took took Twitter to announce the upcoming bout between Johnson and Moraes.

It has been almost a year since Moraes last competed in ONE Championship. On January 25, 2019, he reclaimed the ONE Flyweight World Championship title from then champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 29, of Baguio City, Philippines at “ONE: Hero’s Ascent” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Dethroning Eustaquio at “ONE: Hero’s Ascent” improved the professional mixed martial arts record of Moraes to 18 wins and 3 losses. The Brazilian champ represents American Top Team and Constrictor Team.

Training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore, Johnson became the inaugural ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix at “ONE: Century 世紀” at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on October 12, 2019. He defeated Danny “The King” Kingad, 24, of Baguio City via unanimous decision.

“ONE: Century 世紀” marked Johnson’s third outing in ONE Championship bout. He is a former UFC Flyweight Champion and currently has 30 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw.

On March 31, 2019, Johnson competed in the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix quarterfinals at “ONE: A New Era” at the Ryogoku Kokugikan marking his ONE Championship debut. He submitted Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu, 24, of Kagoshima, Japan via guillotine choke.

On August 2, 2019, Johnson faced Tatsumitsu “The Sweeper” Wada, 31, of Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan at “ONE: Dawn of Heroes” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix semifinals. The former UFC Flyweight Champion won via unanimous decision.
