‘Slow Dance’ singer AJ Mitchell: Working with Ava Max was such an incredible experience

Aaron Fredrick “AJ” Mitchell Jr., 18, released his second extended play titled “Slow Dance” on August 23, 2019. The title track featured Amanda Ava Koci, 25, who is professionally known as Ava Max.

Mitchell has always been vocal about admiring the work ethic and talent of Max. He said, “Working with Ava Max was such an incredible experience.”

“After sending her the track, she sent back her verse within hours,” AJ continued. “Even on the very first take she sounded so amazing that we immediately knew she was the one for the song.”

Currently, “Slow Dance” is making waves in local streaming playlists and top 40 radio stations. It is now available on all music streaming and download platforms worldwide.

In 2020, Mitchell will be releasing his debut full-length album under Sony Music. He said, “This has been a wild ride so far and every day I think of how blessed I have been.”

“Over the next few years, I have so much more I hope to accomplish,” AJ continued. “Right now I can’t wait to finally release my first album called ‘Skyview.’ Beyond that, I hope to have a number 1 song, win a Grammy, go out on an international tour and so much more.”

From January 17-18, 2020, Mitchell will serenade and meet his Filipino fans for an upcoming series of mall tours. The American pop singer-songwriter will perform in select Megaworld Lifestyle Malls in Metro Manila, Philippines.

On January 17, 2020 at 7 p.m., Mitchell will perform in Uptown Mall in Taguig City, Metro Manila. On January 18, 2020, he will meet his fans at the Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig City at 3 p.m. and in Eastwood City in Quezon City, Metro Manila at 7 p.m.

With Nathan Huang of Nathan & Mercury, Mitchell will perform some fan favorites including “Slow Dance.” Any Name’s Okay will be featured as opening act.
