BRAVE Combat Federation will hold “BRAVE CF 34” at the Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia on January 19, 2020. The hometown fighters on the card are Matej Plavec, Marko “Lionheart” Drmonjič, Bojan “Zelva” Kosednar, Monika Kucinic, Matjaž Vičar, Jakob Nedoh and Luka Podkrajšek.

Featuring 10 MMA bouts, BRAVE CF will hold “BRAVE CF 34” simultaneously with “WFC: Caged” in partnership with European professional MMA organization World Freefight Challenge. It is the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion’s first ever event in Slovenia.

On January 18, 2020, BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid attended the open workouts at the City Park in Ljubljana ahead of “BRAVE CF 34” and “WFC 24: Caged.” During the event, he said, “Our goal in Slovenia is not to get something for BRAVE CF.”

According to Shahid, 2020 would bring renewed intent on empowering the European MMA scene. For Slovenia itself, he sees WFC and its president Zlatko Mahic as key to developing MMA in the country.

“It’s about how we can help Slovenia MMA as BRAVE CF,” Shahid said. “The partnership with WFC shows that we are not here to split the MMA community but to bring it together and make it grow in Slovenia.”

Overall, “BRAVE CF 34” is the fourth BRAVE CF event in Europe following previous events held in Northern Ireland, England, and Romania. The promotion is looking ahead to more events in the continent in 2020.

“Coming into 2020, one of our goals is to impact the European MMA scene,” Shahid said. “If you want to make a sport global, Europe absolutely has to be involved. We will bring a huge global presence as BRAVE Combat Federation to the entire continent.”

In the main event of “BRAVE CF 34” and “WFC 24: Caged,” Podkrajšek and Viktor Vasić of Bosnia and Herzegovina will compete for the WFC Heavyweight Championship. Meanwhile, here is the BRAVE CF president:
