
GOT7 was originally scheduled to perform in Thailand and Singapore in February 2020. However, the concerts of the K-Pop group were cancelled and postponed due to concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus (nCoV).
Fans of GOT7 were expecting the group to perform at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand from on February 15-16, 2020 as part of the “Keep Shining” world tour. The group’s cancelled performance in Singapore was supposed to be at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on February 22, 2020.
The decision to cancel the concerts were made after discussion with GOT7’s agency JYP Entertainment. On January 31, 2020, organizer 4NOLOGUE took to Facebook to explain the decision.
nCov cases and deaths
On February 2, 2020, the Philippines’ Department of Health confirmed the death of a Chinese man, 44, in the country after testing positive for nCoV. It is the first reported death due to the virus outside of China, according to CNN Philippines.
The first confirmed case of the virus in Massachusetts, United States was also recently reported. A University of Massachusetts Boston student returned to school from Wuhan, China on January 28, 2020 and sought medical treatment on January 29, 2020, Boston Herald reported.
GOT7 members
JYP Entertainment announced GOT7 on January 1, 2014. From 2014 to 2018, the group released four Korean studio albums titled “Identify,” “Moriagatteyo,” “Fight Log: Turbulence” and “Present: You.”
There are seven GOT7 members namely Im Jae Beom (임재범), 26, Mark Yi En Tuan (段宜恩), 26, Jackson Wang, 26, Park Jin Young (박진영), 26, Choi Young Jae (최영재), 23, Kunpimook Bhuwakul Bambam (กันต์พิมุกต์ ภูวกุล), 22, and Kim Yu Gyeom (김유겸), 22. Their respective stage names are JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom.
