The Warrior Bonuses were given to five of the 28 “ONE Warrior Series 10” fighters namely Michael Walker, 22, of the United States, Marc “The Gyrocopter” Grayson, 31, of Australia, Min Hyuk Lee of South Korea and Ryoji Kudo, 26, and Koji “Animal” Shikuwa, 28, of Japan. Each of them received a six-figure contract with ONE Championship.

The 10th edition of ONE Championship subsidiary Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series took place in Singapore on February 19, 2020. It featured two kickboxing bouts and 12 mixed martial arts matches.

“What a card from top to bottom!” ONE Warrior Series CEO Rich Franklin stated. “Tonight, we gave out more bonuses to warriors who lost their matches than those who won. Koji Shikuwa survived a Suloev Stretch and though he couldn’t stand properly, he finished the round.”

“His amazing spirit and refusal to give up was incredible,” Franklin said of Shikuwa. “As Koji exited the arena, he apologized to me for not being able to finish. That is the warrior spirit that embodies ONE Warrior Series.”

ONE Warrior Series director Jonathan Fong also praised two of the five Warrior Bonuses recipients. He said, “Min Hyuk Lee and Ryoji Kudo put on a show for the ages.”

“The level of talent we have recruited in ONE Warrior Series will be making waves in the future,” Fong continued. “There were over a dozen new faces on the card tonight and several caught our attention immediately. Keep an eye out for Egypt’s Ahmed Faress and all the athletes who turned in exemplary performances tonight.”

Including Australia, Japan, South Korea and the U.S., 16 countries were represented at “ONE Warrior Series 10.” The others were Brunei Darussalam, Egypt, Estonia, India, Iran, Malaysia, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Ukraine, Pakistan, South Africa and Thailand.
