On July 6, 2019, Hidalgo represented Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Míster Internacional España 2019 in Plaza Mayor in Villanueva de la Jara, Cuenca, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. He will represent Spain in Mister International 2020.

On February 18, 2020, Hidalgo and his fellow Manhunt International 2019 candidates were presented to media members at the Platinum Hall of F1 Hotel Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The next day, they enjoyed some fun activities at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa in Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines.

Located in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines, the New Frontier Theater played host to the Manhunt International 2019 coronation night, which was hosted by Miss Intercontinental 2015 first runner-up Christi McGarry, 29, and Andre Bruillette on February 22, 2020. It was the 20th edition of the international male beauty pageant conceived by Metromedia Singapore and Procon Leisure International.

It was Paul Luzineau, 23, of the Netherlands who was declared the fairest of them all while Nikos Antonopoulos, 24, of Greece was first runner-up. Matheus Giora, 31, of Brazil and Mayur Gangwani, 21, of India were the respective second and fourth runners-up.
