ONE Championship has launched its new official online shop ONE.SHOP. Among the mixed martial artists who serve as models of the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s new merchandise were Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama (秋山 成勲), 44, of Japan and South Korea and Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, 33, of the United States.
Johnson is the inaugural ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion. He is riding a three-bout winning streak in ONE Championship.
Akiyama currently has 1 win and 1 loss in ONE Championship. After losing in his promotional debut via unanimous decision to Agilan “The Alligator” Thani, 24, of Malaysia, the Korean-Japanese athlete knocked out Sherif “The Shark” Mohamed, 36, of Egypt.
Both Johnson and Akiyama previously competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The American MMA fighter is the inaugural UFC Flyweight Champion while the Korean-Japanese MMA veteran competed in the UFC from 2009 to 2015.
Through ONE.SHOP, MMA fans have access to all-new collections of ONE Championship official merchandise and athleisure wear. Originally established in 2018, the organization’s athleisure business has been updated and upgraded with an all-new webstore featuring brand new collections.
Added to the wide selection of ONE Championship branded merchandise are new athlete-centric designs featuring some of the organization’s biggest stars. Aside from Johnson and Akiyama, among the athletes featured are ONE Middleweight and Light Heavyweight World Champion “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang, 34, of Myanmar, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, 23, of Singapore, ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera, 42, of the Philippines, ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, 30, of Australia and Vietnam and ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee, 21, of Singapore.
Fans can pre-order limited edition products and shop collaborations with some of the industry’s most prominent graphic designers and brands. Loyal fans are now rewarded with the Gold Corner, allowing fans to earn exclusive rewards instantly with their purchases.
ONE.SHOP will continue to offer free shipping globally provided a minimum spend requirement is satisfied. ONE Championship’s head of athleisure Debbie Soon said, “I am excited to bring a new and improved online merchandise store to our ONE Championship fans.
“Everything about ONE.SHOP from its many features to brand new products has been designed around our fans,” Soon continued. “We look forward to our fans from all over the world representing their love for all things ONE Championship and to live their greatness in our ONE merchandise.”
In partnership with international advocacy organization Global Citizen, ONE Championship has also joined the worldwide fight against the COVID-19 pandemic to help raise money for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and other local community organizations. As part of this effort, ONE Championship is also launching two limited edition “We Are ONE” T-shirts with 100% of net proceeds going towards COVID-19 relief efforts.
“In addition, we hope to make a difference in the global fight against COVID-19 by donating 10% of all net proceeds from the new ONE.SHOP towards COVID-19 relief efforts. This will continue indefinitely until we have overcome this coronavirus crisis,” Soon said. “It’s a worthy cause that will no doubt provide our medical frontliners with the assistance they need and for other local communities with a lack of access to basic necessities such as food, water and shelter.”
Meanwhile, one of the things ONE Championship will do after this pandemic is to launch “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition.” Niharika Singh, 31, of India will serve as the advisor of Chatri Sityodtong.
