Naty Nabehet Loman is with her son Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, not only during his wins as the reigning BRAVE Combat Federation Bantamweight World Champion. The two are also together during crisis such as the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the world is currenly facing.
Recent reports account at least a third of the world’s population in lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak. One of the challenges people all around the world have been facing over the last weeks is how to stay active and how to cope with the fact that an unprecedented number of people are confined.
It is the case of pf the reigning BRAVE CF Bantamweight Champion whose lockdown days have been split between physical activities indoors and volunteering in the assistance of his community. He shared, “In this time of COVID-19 crisis, while we are in a state of lockdown here in the Philippines, I’m trying to remain healthy and doing my exercises.”
“I’m lifting weights and doing bodyweight workout at home in order to build muscle and strength,” Stephen continued. “I also do some shadow boxing and stretching, improving flexibility alongside breathing exercises, too. Those are things that pretty much anyone can do but for me, as a professional athlete are even more important going through this situation”.
“My mother and I are also volunteering together,” Loman added. “We are assisting the Ifugao Cyberspace Watchdog (ICW), a group of professionals from the region of Ifugao who reaches out to stranded students and informal workers who are being affected by this situation. It’s amazing and I’m so grateful for the number of generous people we have across all over the place helping us and mostly helping those people in need. Thank you.”
The last time Stephen stepped into the BRAVE CF arena, he successfully defended his belt from Louie “Leonidas” Sanoudakis, 30, of Canada. They headlined “BRAVE CF 30″ at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, India on November 30, 2019.
Stephen is training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. He is the longest reigning BRAVE CF champion and has also been one of the biggest ambassadors for Bahrain-based MMA promotion’s awareness campaign against the spread of coronavirus, the #BRAVECombatsCovid19 campaign.
