Liana “She Wolf” Jojua, 25, of Tbilisi, Georgia was one of the “UFC on ESPN 13” winners. The Georgian mixed martial artist earned her first victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Competing professionally since 2015, Jojua made her UFC debut on September 7, 2019 at “UFC 242” where she fought Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras, 32, of Canada. The Canadian contender knocked out her Georgian opponent.

Featuring 11 MMA matches, “UFC on ESPN 13” took place on the UFC Fight Island on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on July 15, 2020 in the United States or July 16 in the UAE. In the second bout, Jojua fought Diana “The Warrior Priness” Belbiţă, 24, who is fighting out of Drobeta, Romania by way of Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada, in the women’s flyweight division.

Rich Mitchell served as the referee. He put a stop to the flyweight contest after 2 minutes and 47 seconds in the first round when Jojua submitted Belbiţă via arm bar.

This is the fifth time Jojua won a professional MMA bout via arm bar submission. Winning at “UFC on ESPN 3” improved her professional MMA record to 8 wins and 3 losses.

On the other hand, it was Belbiţă’s second consecutive loss in the UFC. She now has 13 wins and 6 losses.
