BRAVE Combat Federation has announced the main event of “BRAVE CF 38.” It will be a welterweight bout between Abdoul “The Conqueror” Abdouraguimov, 24, of Nantes, France and Carl “The Bomber” Booth, 29, of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England.
“BRAVE CF 38” will take place in Stockholm, Sweden on August 8, 2020. It will be the second BRAVE CF event to take place in the Scandinavian country.
BRAVE CF will make its Sweden debut on August 1, 2020. The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion will hold “BRAVE CF 37” in Stockholm in partnership with Swedish MMA promotion Bulldog Fight Night.
Born in Russia but now based in Nantes, Abdouraguimov has been competing professionally since 2016. He competed in France, Switzerland, Spain and Belgium before joining Brave CF and won his first three bouts in the promotion in Morocco, Pakistan and Jordan.
On April 19, 2019, Abdouraguimov challenged the then reigning Brave CF Welterweight World Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan “Brave 23” at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. The French-Russian challenger won via split decision.
On October 4, 2019, Abdouraguimov and Al-Selawe had their rematch at “BRAVE CF 27” at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Jordanian challenger redeemed the Brave CF Welterweight World Championship belt by winning via technical knockout due to corner stoppage.
Representing Team Ross Dela Riva of Nantes, Abdouraguimov holds a professional MMA record of 10 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Booth has 9 wins and 3 losses.
Booth has been competing in BRAVE CF since 2016. On August 12, 2017, Booth and Carlston “Moçambique” Lindsay Harris, 33, of Skeldon, Guyana competed for the inaugural Brave CF Welterweight World Championship at “Brave 8: The Rise of Champions.” The Guyanese contender won via unanimous decision.
