Renaissance Records is proud to announce the launch of vinyl records that music lovers are not going to find anywhere else. The record label based in Phoenix, Arizona, United States will now be offering reissued vinyl records from well-known bands such as Shooting Star, Prism, Charlie, New England and many more to be announced.
“With CD sales declining three times faster than the growth of vinyl sales reissuing vinyl makes sense,” industry insider Anthony Santangelo said. “Sure, the digital market is convenient. You have access to any song by any artist in the world at your fingertips but for the true music lover vinyl is special. It’s your own physical music collection that you can pass down for generations to come.”
To start this launch, Renaissance Records is releasing Shooting Stars’s “Anthology 40 Years” album and Prism’s “Anthology 45 Years” album on September 21, 2020. Both of these double gatefold 180g albums feature 20 classic tracks, a poster, lyric sheet and trading cards of the original band.
The record label will be releasing two vinyl albums for Charlie namely “No Second Chance” and “Lines” along with New England’s self-titled album “New England”. All three of these albums are due to release in October 2020.
With a passion for music and a new idea to form a recording label, former aerospace engineer John W. Edwards founded Renaissance Records in 1993. He focused on the reissuing of classic rock and classic country LPs on CD for the first time.
Soon, Renaissance Records signed licensing deals with EMI-Capitol, Sony Music, Universal Music Group and BMG/RCA/Arista. The record label has released recordings from artists such as Juice Newton, Willie Nelson, Rick Springfield, Pure Prairie League, Blue Oyster Cult, Gamma and Judas Priest.
