Levi Maria Toney Flores, 26, San Vicente, El Salvador was one of the winners in the 13th edition of Reinado de El Salvador. The coronation night took place at the Auditorio Fepade in San Salvador, El Salvador.
Including Toney, 11 candidates competed in Reinado de El Salvador 2020. The second highest crown was given to Flores, making her El Salvador’s representative to Miss Intercontinental 2020, which will take place in December 2020 in India.
Miss Intercontinental 2020 is the 49th edition of the beauty pageant. If Toney wins, she will be the contest’s first titleholder from El Salvador.
The highest title in Reinado de El Salvador 2020 was won by Vanessa Velasquez, 24, of San Salvador. She will represent El Salvador in Miss Universe 2020.
Also from San Salvador, Tiffany Katota, 23, won the third highest crown. She will represent El Salvador in Reina Hispanoamericana 2020.
Alexandra Torres, 27, and Kenia Rivas, 24, were the respective first and second runners-up. They are both from San Salvador, as well.
Toney is of Salvadoran and Guyanese descent. She was born in San Vicente on June 14, 1997 to Lawrence Royston Toney and Ana Dolores Cruz.
Lawrence is originally from French Guiana while Cruz is from El Salvador. He met her in 1993 when he arrived in El Salvador as part of the United Nations Observer Corps in the country.
Levi is a student at the Universidad Pedagógica de El Salvador in San Salvador. She is studying physical education and sports.
In 2010, Levi was crowned Reina de las Fiestas Patronales in San Vicente. In 2013, she competed in Nuestra Belleza El Salvador and was unplaced.
