“BRAVE CF 45” has a new main event. Gabriel ‘’Fly’’ Miranda, 30, of Telemaco Borba, Parana, Brazil was diagnosed with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) before he flew into Bahrain and was forced to withdraw from his scheduled featherweight clash against Dumar “Corazon de Leon” Roa, 30, of Guateque, Boyaca, Colombia.
Replacing Miranda is Ian “Enty” Entwistle, 33, of Accrington, England, United Kingdom. The English mixed martial artist will make his BRAVE Combat Federation debut on short notice.
Roa found himself in the same situation when he made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 26” at the Coliseo Hernan Jaramillo Botero in Bogota, Colombia on September 7, 2019. With a week’s notice, he replaced Guram “Georgian Viking” Kutateladze, 28, of Tbilisi, Georgia against Felipe Silva, 36, of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil in main event.
Roa was knocked out by Silva. On November 15, 2019, the Colombian MMA fighter earned his first BRAVE CF win at “BRAVE CF 29” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain where he knocked out Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, 25, of Amman, Jordan.
Currently, Roa holds a professional MMA record of 8 wins and 7 losses. On the other hand, Entwistle has 9 wins and 3 losses.
BRAVE CF will hold “BRAVE CF 45” in Bahrain on November 12, 2020. In the main event of the evening, Roa and Entwistle will battle it out at a catch weight of 68 kg.
Entwistle has been competing professionally since 2010. He competed in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship from 2011 to 2013 and in the Ultimate Fighting Championship from 2014 to 2016.
The Accrington native had three UFC fights, winning one. He is coming out of a technical knockout loss to Alejandro “Turbo” Perez, 31, of Estado de Mexico, Mexico at “UFC Fight Night 86” at the Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia on April 10, 2016.
Since losing to Perez, Entwistle did not compete. “BRAVE CF 45” gives him the opportunity to get back in the win column.
