Dumar “Corazon de Leon” Roa, 30, of Guateque, Boyaca, Colombia faced a tough opponent at “BRAVE CF 45.” The opponent, who made his BRAVE Combat Federation debut, previously competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Featuring two amateur MMA matches and six professional MMA fights, “BRAVE CF 45” took place at the Bahrain National Stadium in East Riffa, Bahrain on November 19, 2020. In the main event of the evening, Roa fought Ian “Enty” Entwistle, 34, of Accrington, England, United Kingdom at a catch weight of 75kg with Declan Larkin as the referee.

It marked Entwistle’s return to the cage after a four-year absence. He was a last-minute replacement to Gabriel “Fly” Miranda, 29, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil who was diagnosed with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic before boarding to the Kingdom of Bahrain, forcing him to be pulled from the contest.

Entwistle kicked things off showing how much he missed the thrill of professional fighting. He went for it right after the bell rang and tried to catch Roa with a right hand.

The two briefly clinched and Entwistle pulled guard, quickly transitioning to a heel hook. They spent roughly three minutes scrambling back-and-forth in the position,in a highly paced chess-like grappling exhibition.

When Roa finally managed to take the top position, getting away from the hook and surviving several near-submission situations, Entwistle tapped after 2 minutes and 47 seconds in the first round. It was clear by the images that the English contender injured himself while trying to submit his Colombian opponent.

The doctors confirmed that Entwistle had blown out his knee but the exact nature of the injury and how it happened remains uncertain. The only thing for sure is that Roa won his second consecutive BRAVE CF bout in the Bahrain, where he seems to feel at home.

Winning at “BRAVE CF 45” improved the professional MMA record of Roa to 9 wins and 7 losses. Competing professionally since 2012, he joined BRAVE CF in 2019.

Competing professionally since 2010, Entwistle competed in the UFC from 2014 to 2016 and went on hiatus from 2017 to 2019. He now has 9 wins and 4 losses.
