Kyle Rittenhouse released from jail with Ricky Schroder, Mike Lindell’s help

Kyle Howard Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Illinois, United States was released from the Kenosha County Detention Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA after posting a $2 million bond on November 20, 2020. Among the people who helped him were Ricky Schroder and Mike Lindell.

Lin Wood and John Pierce are two of the lawyers representing Rittenhouse. Wood took to Twitter to share a photo of the teenager wearing a black shirt bearing the name Black Rifle Coffee Company.

Joining Rittenhouse in the photo are Pierce and Schroder. According to Wood, Schroder and Lindell helped raise the money to bail the teenager out.

Lindell is the chief executive officer of My Pillow, Inc., a pillow manufacturing company based in Chaska, Minnesota, USA. He is a supporter of 45th U.S. president Donald Trump.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, Schroder made his acting debut in the 1979 film “The Champ.” He played Det. Danny Sorenson in “NYPD Blue” from 1998 to 2001.

After being extradited from Illinois, Rittenhouse was held at the Kenosha County Detention Center on October 30, 2020. Sgt. David Wright of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department told Kenosha News, “He was turned over to his own security detail arranged by his attorney and is no longer in our custody.”

On August 26, 2020, Rittenhouse was arrested in Antioch. He is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the killing of white Black Lives Matter protesters Anthony M. Huber and Joseph D. Rosenbaum and attempted intentional homicide in the wounding of Gaige Paul Grosskreutz, 26, in Kenosha on August 25, 2020.

On September 25, 2020, Rittenhouse attended an online court hearing from a juvenile detention facility in Lake County, Illinois. As per Kenosha prosecutors’ request, he should be transferred from Illinois to Wisconsin to face charges.

Pierce told Judge Paul Novak that he planned to fight the request. The judge granted Pierce two weeks to prepare his arguments challenging Rittenhouse’s extradition and gave the defense 14 days to review papers and file pleadings before the next hearing.

Rittenhouse appeared for an extradition hearing at the Lake County Circuit Court on October 30, 2020. He is expected in court for a preliminary hearing on December 3, 2020.
