Sabina Półtawska, 21, of Poland finished in the Top 8 at Miss Earth 2020 but failed to win one of the four titles. She was the crowned Miss Earth-Air Poland 2019 and the appointed Miss Earth Poland 2020.
It was Lindsey Coffey, 28, of the United States who was crowned Miss Earth 2020. The respective first, second and third runners-up were Miss Earth-Air 2020 Stephany Zreik, 24, of Venezuela, Miss Earth-Water 2020 Roxanne Allison Baeyens, 23, of the Philippines and Miss Earth-Fire 2020 Michala Rubinstein, 27, of Denmark.
Due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Miss Earth 2020 coronation ceremony was held via a virtual event hosted by British journalist James Deakin, 48, who is based in the Philippines. FOXlife and TV5 aired the show on November 29, 2020.
United Nations Industrial Development Organization president Hassan Eltigani Malik of Sudan served as a judge. He was joined in the judging panel by violinist Iskandar Widjaja of Germany and Indonesia, restaurateur Michael Ma of Singapore, singer and television host Patricia Zavala of Venezuela, disc jockey, model and singer Natalia Barulich of the U.S., Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1998 Jewel May Lobaton of the Philippines and Miss Asia Pacific 1979 first runner-up Lorraine Schuck of the Philippines.
Lobaton is the founder of JEWEL Beauty Strong. Schuck is the co-founder of Carousel Productions.
Including Poland, a total of 84 countries and territories were represented at Miss Earth 2020. It is the 20th edition of the annual international beauty pageant, which marked the first time Bangladesh, Burkina Faso and Syria participated.
Prior to the coronation night, the candidates participated in the national costume competition, the evening gown competition, the swimsuit competition, the resort wear competition, the sports wear competition and the talent competition. The candidates were divided into four continental group namely Africa, Asia and Oceania, Europe and the Americas.
In the Europe group, Poltawska won gold in the evening gown competition. During the coronation night, she became the third Miss Earth titleholder from Poland.
Both Miss Earth-Fire 2003 Marta Matyjasik and Miss Earth-Air 2005 Katarzyna Borowicz are from Poland. Meanwhile, here is the eco-video of Poltawska, who hails from Szczecin, Poland:
