Christopher Lance Osteen is a white man from Tennessee, United States. Here are 10 more things about him:

  1. He was born in 1986.
  2. He is 6’0″. His registered weight is 140 lbs.
  3. He lived in various parts of Tennessee including Brownsville, Dresden, Palmersville and Jackson.
  4. On September 26, 2010, he broke into the Old County Store at 56 Casey Jones Lane in Jackson and stole food items. He fled from the Jackson Police Department officers who responded to the store’s alarm and shot one of them named Mark Headen in the forearm. He was in possession of a 9mm pistol that was reported stolen on July 9, 2010 in Jackson.
  5. On September 21, 2011, a Madison County Circuit Court Jury convicted him on burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon with the intent to go armed, evading arrest and resisting arrest and sentenced him as a Range II, multiple offender to an effective sentence of 16 years, 11 months and 22 days.
  6. On August 17, 2015, he appealed the Madison County Circuit Court‟s dismissal of his pro se petition for post-conviction relief.
  7. In 2015, he was found guilty of  burglary out of Madison County, Tennessee. He was given an eight-year sentence and was incarcerated at the Northwest Correctional Complex minimum security annex in Tiptonville, Tennessee. He is inmate number 419675.
  8. On January 31, 2018, he filed a motion to correct an illegal sentence pursuant to Tennessee Rule of Criminal Procedure 36.1. However, Judge Robert W. Wedemeyer found that he failed to state a colorable claim that his sentence was illegal and he was not entitled to relief.
  9. He and his fellow inmate Robert Lee Brown escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex. They were confirmed to be missing around 8:30 a.m. on December 11, 2020. Wanted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Paris, Tennessee, he was added to the Most Wanted list of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary and theft of property over $10,000.
  10. The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force worked with several law enforcement agencies including the TBI and Tennessee Department of Correction to capture him and Osteen. The authorities capture him and Brown in the evening of December 14, 2020. The manhunt started at the Mississippi River and ended on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. After being captured, he and Brown were held by the Broward County Florida Sheriff’s Office on Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
