A video of Tiffany Lashae Pontes Dover, 30, was released by Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Memorial Hospital on December 21, 2020. Joining her in the video are her colleagues in the hospital, which is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States.
Including Dover, there are 21 people in the video. Each of them is wearing a face mask.
Dover is a nurse manager in CHI Memorial Hospital. She lives in Higdon, Alabama, USA with her husband Dustin James Dover and their two children.
In 2012, Tiffany earned her associate degree in applied nursing from Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville, Alabama. She also attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.
On December 17, 2020, three physicians and three nurses working at CHI Memorial Hospital received the new coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine from Pfizer live on television. Tiffany was one of them.
Around 17 minutes after getting the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, Tiffany fainted while speaking to the media. She recovered immediately and said that she has a condition called Vasovagal Syncope.
“I have a history of having an over-active vagal response and so with that, if I have pain from anything, a hangnail or if I stub my toe, I just pass out,” Tiffany explained. After this, nothing was heard from her leading people to speculate that she died.
Tiffany’s social media accounts were public until December 21, 2020. Prior to that, her accounts were inundated with questions about her condition by thousands of people from around the world.
CHI Memorial Hospital also received a slew of comments and questions. The hospital released a statement on December 20, 2020 stating that Tiffany was fine and was asking for privacy.
