This is all Lincoln’s fault. There was no accountability for the confederate states when they committed treason and lost the civil war. Now those same confederate states are trying to overturn elections in their favor. If the Republican confederates held majority in both the House and the Senate, they would have given the presidency to Trump, overturning the actual 2020 election results. This in itself is a close call and a huge red flag, not to mention the outright disgust and disrespect they have for democracy and the Capital shown by them breaching the capital and murdering a cop in plain sight.
Let’s make one this clear here. Those confederates did not breach the capital to shake the hands of the representatives seeing as dozens of them partook in murdering the cop. We came inches away from a dictatorship. Inches. The impeachment of Trump should not be enough to discipline these confederate traitor states. Not to mention new amendments must be made to the constitution to address and deter future uprising.
It is time to reconsider the electoral college.
