Through brand endorsements and editorial opportunities, IMG Models will focus on building Gorman’s profile, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Among the notable models currently signed with the agency are Paris Jackson, 22, Bella Hadid, 24, Gigi Hadid, 25, Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, 25, Cara Delevingne, 28, and Kate Moss, 47.

Gorman is the inaugural National Youth Poet Laureate of the U.S. She has a twin sister named Gabrielle Gorman, who is a filmmaker, a poet and an activist.

On January 20, 2021, Amanda recited her poem “The Hill We Climb” during the inauguration of 46th U.S. president Joe Biden and 49th U.S. vice president Kamala Harris in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., USA.

During the inauguration, Amanda wore a yellow coat and matched it with a red satin puff headband, which are both from Prada. She also wore a pair of gold hoop earrings by Nikos Koulis and an Of Rare Origin ring, which she received as gifts from Oprah Winfrey, 66.

Headquartered in Milan, Italy, Prada is a luxury fashion house founded by Mario Prada in 1913. In 2019, the company invited Amanda to speak at its Shaping a Future conference.

“Amanda Gorman’s vision and quest for a more sustainable future are an immense source of inspiration for the Prada Group,” Prada told WWD. “At the 2019 edition titled Shaping a Sustainable Society, the conversation was centered on the moral obligation of public and private entities to create an environment that promotes freedom, equality and justice.”

Amanda attended Prada’s show during Milan Fashion Week in February 2019. After the event, she wrote a poem titled “A Poet’s Prada.”

Fashion has so much meaning to Amanda. She told Vogue, “It’s my way to lean into the history that came before me and all the people supporting me.”
