Shailene Woodley is Aaron Rodgers’ fiancée, to star in ‘The Fallout’

Football quarterback Aaron Rodgers, 37, and Hollywood actress Shailene Woodley, 29, are engaged. The latter confirmed the engagement when she appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in an episode that aired on February 22, 2021.

“We met during this whacky, whacky time and all the stadiums were closed that he was playing in so I have yet to go to a football game,” Woodley told Jimmy Fallon, 46. “I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially American sports. It was never really on my radar. When we met, also, I knew he was a football guy but I didn’t know like what kind of a football guy he was and I’m still constantly learning.”

Rodgers made his debut in the National Football League in 2005. Since then, he has been playing for the Green Bay Packers.

When Rodgers accepted his third career Most Valuable Player award on February 6, 2021, he thanked his fiancée without mentioning his name. He won the same award in 2011 and in 2014.

According to Woodley, she and Rodgers have been engaged for a while now. She said, “For us, it’s not new news, you know, so it’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.'”

Both Rodgers and Woodley were born in California, United States. He was born in Chico, Butte County, California in 1983 and she was born in San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, California in 1991.

Woodley is known for playing Tris in “Divergent” films from 2014 to 2016. In 2014, she starred “The Fault in Our Stars” opposite Ansel Elgort, 26.

From 2017 to 2019, Woodley played Jane Chapman in the television series “Big Little Lies.” One of his upcoming films is “The Fallout,” which is expected to be released in March 2021.

Written and directed by Megan Park, “The Fallout” is a drama film about the emotional fallout experienced by a high school student played by Jenna Ortega. Joining Woodley and Ortega in the cast are Julie Bowen, Maddie Ziegler, John Ortiz, Niles Fitch, Will Ropp, Austin Zajur, Yindra Zayas and Lumi Pollack.
