Meghan Markle, 39, appeared briefly on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” episode aired on February 25, 2021. The Duchess of Sussex wore a blue puff-sleeve smocked dress from Velvet Torch, a boutique from Los Angeles, California, United States.
James Corden, 42, interviewed Prince Harry, 36, in the episode, which was filmed in Los Angeles. The television host insisted that they call Markle so she appeared via quick video chat.
The duchess matched her blue dress with natural makeup and a blue necklace. The dress, which is worth $29.97, was sold out in blue on Velvet Torch’s websites and on Nordstrom Rack.
A Velvet Torch representative told Insider that the boutique was accepting preorders and the dress worn by Markle on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” would ship no later than March 15, 2021. The brand also has a similar dress in black currently available on Nordstrom Rack in sizes extra-small to extra-large.
In the “The Late Late Show with James Corden” episode, Prince Harry talked about the pressures of royal life. In January 2020, he and Markle quit as working members of the royal family and moved from England, United Kingdom to Los Angeles.
The Duke of Sussex revealed he has watched “The Crown,” the Netflix series that probes several reported fractures within the royal family. He said, “I’m way more comfortable with ‘The Crown’ than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself.”
“They don’t pretend to be news,” the duke continued. “It’s fictional but it’s loosely based on the truth. Of course, it’s not strictly accurate but it gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that.”
Prince Harry and Markle started dating in June 2016. They made their first public appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in September 2017.
On November 27, 2017, Prince Harry and Markle’s engagement was announced. They got married at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in Windsor, Berkshire, England on May 19, 2018 and their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor was born 13 days before their first wedding anniversary.
