Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, 34, who is professionally known as Lady Gaga, is happy because her recently stolen French bulldogs have been returned safely. However, her happiness is not complete as the thieves are not yet arrested and her dog walker Ryan Fischer has not yet fully recovered.

At around 9:40 p.m. on February 24, 2021, Fischer was walking Gaga’s three French bulldogs on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States while the singer and actress was in Rome, Italy shooting a movie. He was shot once in the chest and two of the dogs were stolen from him.

On February 25, 2021, police said Fischer was in critical condition. But recently, Los Angeles Police Department captain Jonathan Tippet, the Robbery-Homicide Division commanding officer, told People that he is already in stable condition.

“Ryan is receiving extraordinary care in the hospital right now and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery,” Fischer’s family said in a statement obtained by TMZ. “We cannot possibly say enough to thank all of the first responders, nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly to care for Ryan.”

The family also thanked Gaga for showing “nothing but non-stop love and concern” for Fischer and his family right from the outset. The family added, “Ryan loves Gustavo and Koji as much as Lady Gaga does so we join in her plea for their safe return.”

Fischer described two suspects, according to Tippet. The dog walker said the thieves were two African-American men between the ages of 20 to 25.

With Gaga’s two dogs named Koji and Gustav, the two men allegedly fled the scene in a white four-door Nissan Altima. Both suspects are still at large.

While still in Rome, Gaga offered $500,000 for the return of the two dogs. At around 6:00 p.m. on February 26, 2021, a woman brought the dogs to the Olympic Community Police Station of the LAPD, Tippet told the Associated Press. Gaga’s representative and detectives went there and confirmed that they were Koji and Gustav.

The woman appeared to be not involved and not associated with the kidnapping of Koji and Gustav in Hollywood, according to Tippet. The details about how she obtained the dogs have yet to be revealed.
