The Professional Fighters League has announced its partnership with Globo. The latter is a media company based in Brazil.
Globo will the exclusive content provider of the PFL in Brazil for the league’s upcoming 2021 season. The Brazilian company will carry each of the league’s live events and viewers in Brazil will be able to watch mixed martial arts in a true season format for the first time through Combate platforms (pay tv channel, website, app and social networks), the most important brand in combat sports domestically.
“Our goal is to offer the best of combat sports’ world to the passionate Brazilian audience,” Combat Sports and Combate Channel head Rafael Gruenbaum stated. “The Professional Fighters League enhances our portfolio and makes us very excited with the opportunity to offer great content to millions of Brazilian fans which will surely engage with the competition and support the athletes.”
In addition, the PFL will have extensive journalistic coverage on the main sports news, programs and sports portal in Brazil. The 2021 PFL season will begin on April 23, 2021 on the channels ESPN 2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ in prime time in the United States while the other regular season events will take place on April 29, 2021, on May 6, 2021, on June 10, 2021, on June 17, 2021 and on June 25, 2021.
