Jenel “The Demolition Man” Lausa, 32, of Concepcion, Iloilo, Philippines is one of the Filipino mixed martial artists currently signed with Bahrain-based MMA promotion BRAVE Combat Federation. He is looking forward to bounce back from his unsuccessful promotional debut.
“I am ready to fight (whether it is in) Belarus or Bahrain again,” Lausa said. “I can fight anywhere. I really don’t mind where.”
“My phone lines are open 24 hours, seven days a week,” the Filipino MMA fighter continued. “They can give me a call because I will surely answer.”
The 51st event of BRAVE CF will be held in Minks, Belarus on June 4, 2021. It will be the promotion’s first event to take place in Belarus.
BRAVE CF has yet to release the complete fight card of “BRAVE CF 51.” The only match that has been confirmed to be included in the card is between Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 32, of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil and Marcel Grabinski, 29, of Dusseldorf, Germany.
On March 11, 2021, Lausa made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 47: Asian Domination” at the Arad Fort in Arad, Bahrain. He lost via unanimous decision to Ryskulbek Ibraimov, 28, of Kyrgyzstan.
“The loss turned out to be a blessing, not just a lesson,” Lausa said. “Now, I am living as a true and dedicated Filipino MMA fighter. Here in MMA, you have to think as a mixed martial artist day in and day out. Today, I can say that I see things clear as day.”
Despite the strict new coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions imposed on Metro Manila, Philippines, where Lausa is currently based, he has found a way to train. He is working out at XCON Tiger City Gym in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila to keep him battle-ready for his next assignment in the BRAVE CF.
Before joining BRAVE CF, Lausa competed in Pacific Xtreme Combat and the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Now, he sports a much clearer vision as to what he wants to accomplish and he cannot wait to get back into action.
