Zozibini Tunzi, 27, of Tsolo, Eastern Cape, South Africa has been reigning as Miss Universe 2019 since December 8, 2019. She is the longest reigning Miss Universe and was not able to crown her successor in 2020 due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Tunzi will pass her crown to Miss Universe 2020 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, United States at 8:00 p.m. ET on May 16, 2021. There are more than 70 women competing for the crown.
