Daniel J. Warmus Jr., an American man from Alden, Erie County, New York, United States, is the registered agent for Worm-a-Fix Automotive, an auto shop in Orchard Park, Erie County. His father Daniel J. Warmus Sr. became Alden’s village trustee in March 2009 and mayor in 2019.

Aside from Alden, Daniel Jr. has lived in other parts of New York including Lancaster, Depew and East Amherst. The state is around 226 miles away from Washington, D.C., USA.

On November 3, 2020, Joe Biden won the United States presidential election, defeating Donald Trump. On January 6, 2021, Trump’s supporters breached the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. while a joint session of U.S. Congress was certifying the vote of the Electoral College and affirming Biden’s victory.

On January 6, 2021, he entered the U.S. Capitol building carrying a backpack and wearing a hat bearing “Trump 2020” on the front, a sweatshirt with the phrase “CNN is fake news”, green cargo pants and brown shoes. On January 12, 2021, a tipster told the Federal Bureau of Investigation that while at the dentist’s office, he talked about his experience during the U.S. Capitol riot.
  2. He owns several cars including a blue 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, which was seen parked at Worm-a-Fix Automotive during business hours on multiple occasions between February 2021 and May 2021.
  3. On May 17, 2021, U.S. Magistrate Judge G. Michael Harvey signed a criminal complaint filed by an FBI special agent against him. On May 18, 2021, FBI agents arrested him in Buffalo, Erie County. Represented by Daniel Dubois, he appeared before U.S. District Judge Michael Romer in Buffalo and was released on his own recognizance.
  4. On June 21, 2021, he was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, knowingly and with intent to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of government business or official functions and violent entry and disorderly conduct on U.S. Capitol grounds. When he was arraigned on July 16, 2021, he pleaded not guilty to four counts.
  5. On May 23, 2022, he pleaded guilty to four counts of parading, demonstrating or picketing in a U.S. Capitol building.
  6. On June 24, 2022, two Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office deputies barred him from the Wyoming County Building in Warsaw, Wyoming County, New York then harassed, intimidated and physically assaulted him after he declined a deputy’s demand that he use his full legal name on a sign-in sheet, according to him.
  7. On July 11, 2022, he was issued a citation for illegal parking by Kevin Sullivan, an officer with the police department of Hamburg, Erie County. An officer with the police department of Blasdell, Erie County was on the scene when Sullivan arrested him.
  8. On September 27, 2022, he was sentenced to 45 days of incarceration, 24 months of probation, 60 hours of community service and $500 restitution.
  9. On January 17, 2023, Erie County attorney Jeremy Toth declined his request for a copy of the Freedom of Information request. 
  10. On February 14, 2023, he conducted an audit at the Department of Labor office of Lockport, Niagara County, New York. Four Lockport clerks filed harassment charges against him, which were dismissed on December 14, 2023.
  11. On July 1, 2023, he sued the town of Hamburg, the village of Blasdell and Wyoming County along with seven law enforcement officers in those jurisdictions for alleged violations of his constitutional rights as he confronted and videotaped them.
  12. On July 4, 2023, a federal judge rejected the U.S. Probation Office request to bar him from filming inside the public areas of government buildings.
  13. In December 2023, he turned 40.
