Samantha Catherine Keaton, 20, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States has been crowned Miss Wisconsin USA 2021. She bested 31 other candidates.
The Miss Wisconsin USA 2021 coronation night took place at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. It was supposed to take place in 2020 but it was postponed due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Runner-up to Keaton was Jamie Walloch of Evansville. TeKema L. Balentine of Sun Prairie, Karly Knaus of Plymouth and Sarah Niehueser of Fond Du Lac were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.
Knaus was Miss Wisconsin USA 2020 second runner-up. Alefiyah Dawoodbhai was a semi-finalist in both Miss Wisconsin USA 2020 and in Miss Wisconsin USA 2021.
Keaton is the chief executive officer of Glam by Sam, which she founded in 2017. She previously lived in Austin, Texas, USA.
Representing Austin, Keaton was Miss Texas Teen USA 2019 first runner-up. She had her beauty pageant training at Miss Academy, which was founded by Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart and fashion model Max Sebrechts.
On November 29, 2021, Keaton will represent Wisconsin in the 70th edition of Miss USA. The coronation night will take place at the Paradise Cove Theater of the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
If Keaton wins Miss USA 2021, she will make history as the beauty pageant’s first titleholder from Wisconsin. She will then represent the U.S. in Miss Universe 2021, which is tentatively scheduled to take place in Costa Rica in December 2021.
The highest placement achieved by a Miss USA candidate from Wisconsin was achieved by Mary Cook, who was second runner-up in 1974. It is followed by Jodi Bonham, who was third runner-up in 1967.
