Stephanie Barber, 22, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States has been crowned Miss Arkansas USA 2021. She bested 21 other candidates.
The Miss Arkansas USA 2021 coronation night took place at the Fort Smith Convention Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas on May 23, 2021. It was the 70th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Arkansas’s official Miss USA candidate.
Runner-up to Barber was Jasmine Bruce of Fayetteville. Mackenzie Hinderberger of Windsor Lake, Teresa Fletchinger of Little Rock and Caroline Adair of Monticello were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.
Adair, Fletchinger and Hinderberger were Miss Arkansas USA 2020 semi-finalists. Bruce was Miss Arkansas USA 2020 second runner-up.
Barber competed in Miss Wisconsin USA 2021 as Miss Northwest Arkansas USA 2021. From 2016 to 2017, she reigned as Miss Dallas Teen USA.
In 2017, Barber received her high school diploma from Denton Calvary Academy in Denton, Texas. In 2021, she graduated from the University of Arkansas with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science.
On November 29, 2021, Barber will represent Arkansas in the 70th edition of Miss USA. The coronation night will take place at the Paradise Cove Theater of the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
If Barber wins Miss USA 2021, she will become the beauty pageant’s second titleholder from Arkansas. She will then represent the U.S. in Miss Universe 2021, which is tentatively scheduled to take place in Costa Rica in December 2021.
Representing Arkansas in Miss USA, Margaret Haywood was first runner-up in 1955, Nancy McCollum was second runner-up in 1956 and Savannah Skidmore finished in the Top 5 in 2019. In 1982, Terri Utley became the first ever Miss USA from Arkansas.
