Ralph Sydnor Abney, 49, of Daphne, Baldwin County, Alabama, United States went to a Hooters restaurant on July 9, 2021. He was asked to leave after causing a disturbance at the restaurant.

Later, Abney sent several threatening messages to Hooters employees including a photo of himself holding a firearm. One of the messages included the phrase, “Blood going to spill tonight.”

Because of the messages, Hooter’s management closed the location and sent employees home. Daphne Police Department officers arrested Abney near his home in Daphne and seized his firearm.

Charged with one count of making a terrorist threat, Abney was booked and transported to the Baldwin County Jail in Bay Minette, Baldwin County. He was later released on a $7,500 bond.

Abney has been married to Melazel Cudilla-Abney since August 9, 2013. He launched Abney Custom Carpentry in Daphne on March 1, 2017.
