Itzel E. Espinosa, 17, of Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States was fatally shot on July 3, 2021. She is Eduardo Espinosa and Elizabeth Diaz‘s daughter.

On July 1, 2021, Itzel went out with friends and that was the last time Eduardo and Diaz saw their daughter, according to the father. When the teenager did not return, her parents called police to make a missing person report.

“All young girls and all young adults out there, your parents care for you,” Eduardo told AZFamily. “They want the best for you. They want you to be a teenager, enjoy your best years, go out and have fun but have a limit, you know, (and) come home.”
