John “The Outlaw” Adajar, 30, of San Pablo, Laguna, Philippines has a new title. The reigning URCC Global Welterweight World Champion has been appointed as Mister Supranational Philippines 2021.
Adajar is a professional mixed martial artist, a Brazilian jiujitsu practitioner and a cyclist. He will represent the Philippines at Mister Supranational 2021, which will culminate at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland on August 22, 2021.
It will be the fifth edition of the Poland-based international male beauty pageant. If Adajar wins, he will be the first ever Mister Supranational from the Philippines.
Representing the Philippines, Denver Hernandez, 27, finished in the Top 20 at Mister Supranational 2019. Reigning Mister Supranational 2019 Nate Crnkovich, 26, of the United States, who is an emergency and trauma nurse, was not able to crown his successor in 2020 due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Mister Supranational 2021 marks Adajar’s return to pageantry. The San Pablo native was Ginoong Laguna 2014 and his counterpart Binibining Laguna 2014 Leren Mae Bautista, 28, went on to become Miss Globe 2019 second runner-up.
When Adajar competed at Misters of Filipinas 2015, he finished in the Top 15. He was an amateur MMA fighter at the time.
In 2016, Adajar made his professional MMA debut in the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC), which was renamed URCC Global in 2018. On September 29, 2018, he became the URCC Global Welterweight World Champion by knocking out Afonso Celso dos Santos of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at “URCC: Colossal” at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
On April 27, 2019, Adajar successfully defended his URCC Global belt by knocking out his countryman Miguel Mosquera, 28, at “URCC Global: Raw Fury” at The Cove at Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Metro Manila. Currently, the reigning Mister Supranational Philippines 2021 holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 1 loss.
