Devon “No Limits” Larratt, 46, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada is widely regarded as one of the best arm wrestlers of all time. Thor “The Mountain” Bjornsson, 32, of Reykjavik, Iceland is 2018 World’s Strongest Man.
On September 18, 2021, Larratt and Bjornsson will headline “Core Sports Fight Night 3” at Sport Society in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Canadian arm wrestler accepted the fight five weeks before the MTK Global boxing event.
“Thor has more experience but I know as you need in a fight is one shot so get ready for it,” Larratt said during the “Core Sports Fight Night 3” press conference on September 16, 2021. “Thor’s nose will blow up. If he breaks my nose, I’ll give him 500 dollars but if I break his nose, I want 5000 dollars from him.”
“I want a battle scar,” Larratt said. “I feel that would be a terrible thing not to walk away with.”
“For the first two minutes, who knows what I’m capable of,” the Canadian arm wrestler continued. “I feel like I got dropped in the middle of the jungle and I’m fighting my way through it.”
Featuring 13 boxing bouts, “Core Sports Fight Night 3” will be broadcast live on CoreSports.World. In the main event, Bjornsson and Larratt will battle it out in the titanweight division.
Also on the card is heavyweight sensation Martin Bakole, who returns to action after almost a year to take on Haruna Osumanu. Regarded as one of the best heavyweights in the world, Bakole heads to Dubai having recently been sparring with former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in the build up to the Ukrainian’s world heavyweight title showdown with Anthony Joshua.
Elsewhere on the bill, CrossFit rivals Josh Bridges and Jacob Heppner will finally settle their differences as they collide in a much talked about grudge match. Two of the most popular females in combat sports have respective bouts as undefeated star Avril Mathie meets fellow unbeaten fighter Jesca Mfinanga while world-record-holding powerlifter Stefi Cohen meets Marcela Nieto.
Rounding up the card, Anthony de Bruijin faces Giorgi Gachechiladze while Stephane Fondjo meets Badri Gogichashvili. The likes of Fahad Al Bloushi and Khalid Naseer return, too.
