St. Paul, Minnesota’s Darren Lee McWright arrested; Antoine Darnique Suggs still on the run

Jasmine Christine Sturm, 30, went to a bar in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States with her half-brother Matthew Isiah Pettus, 26, her boyfriend Loyace Foremann III, 35, and her longtime friend Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, 30, on the evening of September 11, 2021. When they left, they got in someone’s vehicle.

Foreman, Sturm and Pettus were all St. Paul residents while Flug-Presley was from Stillwater, Minnesota. Sturm and Pettus both worked at Shamrocks bar and restaurant in St. Paul.

On September 12, 2021, Foreman, Sturm, Pettus and Flug-Presley were all found dead in an abandoned black sport utility vehicle in a cornfield in the Town of Sheridan in Dunn County, Wisconsin, USA. On September 13, 2021, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office performed autopsies and preliminary results showed that the four all died of gunshot wounds.

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office named Darren Lee McWright, 56, and Antoine Darnique Suggs, 38, as the suspects. According to Flug-Presley’s father Damone Presley Sr., McWright is the father who Suggs, who had hung around with Nitosha.

Damone’s father Dennis Presley mentored and coached McWright at the Oxford Community Center on Lexington Parkway in St. Paul when McWright was young, according to Damone. When Dennis passed away in 2020, McWright expressed condolences to the family.

At 8:30 p.m. on September 15, 2021, McWright was arrested while Suggs is still on the run. The latter could be armed and dangerous and is possibly in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, according to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office.
