Why Brooklyn, New York’s Bradley K. Hill kicked woman inside subway station in Boerum Hill

Bradley K. Hill, 22, of Brooklyn, New York City, New York, United States has been arrested by the New York City Police Department. He was charged with assault and attempted assault.

At around 7:15 p.m. on September 9, 2021, Hill was caught on camera kicking a woman, 32, in the chest after a brief verbal exchange inside the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. She tumbled down the escalator while he calmly walked away.

According to the victim, whose name was not released, Hill pushed his way past her as they rode up the escalator to the street so she told him, “Say, ‘Excuse me.’ That’s the New York way.” She told ABC 7 New York that he just kicked her out of nowhere and she just came tumbling down the escalator, past everyone, all the way to the bottom floor.

“Out of nowhere, he felt the need to have to kick me down the stairs,” the victim said of Hill. “You know, as if I had the audacity to address him and tell him and say, ‘Excuse me,’ at that moment. He felt like he just had to kick me down.”

The victim’s arms, back, legs, right knee and right thigh were cut and bruises and she suffered trauma to her left ankle. She refused medical attention at the scene, according to the NYPD.

On September 17, 2021, NYPD officers arrested Hill. His hair was freshly buzzed and he was wearing a smart dark suit paired with an opened necked shirt and a Nike face mask while being escorted by authorities.
