‘Aquaman’ star Jason Momoa confirms he and Lisa Bonet are ending their marriage

Jason Momoa, 42, and Lisa Bonet, 54, started dating in 2005 and got married in 2017. On January 12, 2022, he took to Instagram to announce that they are ending their marriage.

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives, we may do so with dignity and honesty,” Momoa and Bonet explained. “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become.”

Momoa and Bonet have two children together. She gave birth to Lola Iolani Momoa in July 2007 and to Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa in December 2008.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, Jason is of Native Hawaiian, German and Irish descent. He grew up in Norwalk, Iowa, USA.

Jason played the title character in the 2011 film “Conan the Barbarian.” He played Arthur Curry / Aquaman in the 2016 film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the 2017 film “Justice League” and the 2018 film “Aquaman.”

In 2021, Jason starred in the films “Sweet Girl” and “Dune.” He reprises his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” which will be released on December 16, 2022.

Lisa Bonet

Born in San Francisco, California, USA, Bonet is of Ashkenazi Jewish and African-American descent. She played Denise Huxtable in “The Cosby Show” from 1984 to 1991 and in “A Different World” from 1987 to 1989.

Bonet was married to Lenny Kravitz from 1987 to 1993. She gave birth to their daughter Zoë Isabella Kravitz in 1988.

In 1995, Bonet legally changed her name to Lilakoi Moon but she still uses the name Lisa Bonet professionally. Between 2014 and 2015, she appeared in seven episodes of “The Red Road,” which starred Momoa, Martin Henderson and Julianne Nicholson.
